When recycling an old harness, Antoine Buliard, Jean-Marc Masutti and Xavier Bauer, all mountaineering and rock climbing enthusiasts, came up with the idea for the TYBELT. At first, it was a stylish and original trouser belt, but their mechanics-influenced personalities soon enabled them to envisage a whole host of other uses.
Two and a half years later the TYBELT was born. With EN 566 certification, the TYBELT is an essential piece of Personal Protective Equipment. Encouraged by this first taste of R&D, they plan to launch the TYBELT in different colours and adapt it to an even wider range of uses. All signs indicate that the TYBELT will become a must-have for a large number of people. The team is also keen to develop a range of technical textile products.
Natural progression saw Antoine, Jean-Marc and Xavier establish the company BBM-équipement. The stage is now set for the TYBELT to become a brand worthy of their ambitions.
With a background in business, Jean is involved in the technical-business side of a large corporation. He was previously the founding manager of a glass works company providing customised items for laboratories. He is a keen runner and has a passion for mountaineering and rock climbing.
Trained in STAPS sports management, Antoine has rapidly risen to a position of responsibility within a group specialising in the construction and operation of adventure parks. Today, he is the Head of Development for this group in the USA. He has a passion for mountain biking, cross-country skiing, mountaineering and rock climbing.
Having centred his studies on the field of science, Xavier is the project champion of the TYBELT. After holding the post of Head of Administration at a consultancy firm, he then occupied a position of responsibility at the heart of a group specialising in the construction and operation of adventure parks and founded and managed an IT repair company. He is a keen rock climber and regularly goes mountain biking.
