The carabiners, called “connectors” in PPE jargon, attach to the ends of the strap. They let you hook your belt to a fixed point, to a load or to another carabiner, and their screw sleeve locks them once closed.
Their strength is compatible with that of the Tybelt: they do not become the weak link.
